Blogger Recognition Award

blogger recognition award

This post to show my gratitude comes late, but better late than never. Thank you so much to the lovely lady behind SK Vegan in the city who nominated me for the “Blogger Recognition Award”. It was the first time that I was nominated and I was not sure how to proceed. It´s true that I sent her a gratitude message but it was not enough, she deserved also a public gratitude post and, of course, I wanted to follow the rules (that to be honest didn´t read ´till now, oops!!). As I said, better late than never.

Just in case you were wondering which the rules are, here they are:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  • Write a post to show your award.
  • Give a brief story of how your blog started.
  • Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
  • Select 15 other bloggers for this award.
  • Comment on each of their blogs, letting them know they’re nominated and linking back to this post.

How did my blog start?

Funny enough the idea of starting a blog came after a kick off call with one of my clients. I work full-time in a market research agency conducting online surveys. The survey was about travel and road trips. One of the question was leading and we started a discussion about which objectives they wanted to cover and I gave them some examples about my trip in Formentera island (Spain) where we rented scooter to get around the island. When I finished my dissertation one of my clients said “Thanks for the example, however this is not what we are looking for but you should write a blog, it is more blogger style that PR style”. So I started thinking “Should I?” and after a couple of weeks thinking if I should or shouldn´t I decided to go for it.

Advice to new bloggers:

Blogging is not easy, it´s hard and tough, but please keep it up and don´t give up. Remember how much fun you are having whilst you write and share your thoughts, experiences, tips…

Write what you want to write, not about what you think other would like to read. The best posts are those which are written with the heart.

And the last but not the least, my nominees are…

The fitness weirdo: because she introduced me to WordPress and gave me some tips about blogging expecting to receive nothing back. It was my time to give back. Go the fitness weirdo, go!

Best regards from far: because I´m passionated about south-east of Asia. They are living my dream.

We are the travellers: because I love their posts and the series called “Happy travellers” featuring a new happy traveler each day.

Theshybooks: because I love reading books.

Artist by beauty: because she spreads her enthusiasm in her posts.

Foodinthaiblog: because I love Thai food!!

Rebekka Lien: because I felt connected with her after reading “My worse travel experience

The better places: because I loved their post about “24 hours in Stockholm” and reminded me how I felt in love in this city and with this city.

Randommusings: because somehow reminded me to myself when I read her post about “30 thing I have achieved which are pretty cool by the time I turned 30“.

P(dot)travels: because I really like the name of the blog.

And that´s it. I know that I have nominated 10 rather than 15, but I have a special relationship with the number 10 so what can I do if I love 10?

Guys, you are doing a great work, keep it up and spread the word!

See you around witties!
